Journeys explained

Journeys are made of various blocks: content, messages, surveys, quizzes, tasks, and group activities. Combined with nuanced targeting and people relations based on employee data from your HRIS, journeys make for the ultimate cohesive employee experience.

A journey is made out of steps

  • Content: A content step is where you create the content that your people should receive. Here you can add text and images, as well as multi-media embeddings such as videos, documents, and forms.
  • ✉️ Message: A message step is where you create short notifications or reminders.
  • 🎓 Quiz: A quiz step is where you create exams or quizzes with single-, multiple-, and true-/false-choices. Allow retakes
  • 📋 Survey: A survey is where you can create single questions or entire surveys with open-ended answers. It helps you collect feedback or ideas for improvements from your people.
  • ☑️ Task: A task lets you create single or multiple tasks. Your people can check these tasks off - like a checklist - and you can track the completion.
  • 👨👩👦👦 Group activity: A group activity connects people that are assigned to the same journey randomly. Group activities are only available for cohort journeys.

Journey steps are connected in a sequence

You can send all the steps at once or in a sequence.

Sequential Journey

You can send all the steps at once or in a sequence.

Non-Sequential Journey

All steps are delivered at once and only to the person you assign the journey to.

Every step can have a notification

You can decide whether you want to send a notification to the recipient per step.

The message field lets you customize the message sent in the notification.

You can add and format any kind of text.

Currently, you cannot add any images in this field.

If you choose to send a notification, this text will be sent via Slack, Email, or Teams.

Send steps to managers, buddies, or specific people

Any of the steps can be sent to the assignee (i.e., the main recipient of the journey), people related to the assignees, or someone specific.

The Assignee is the main recipient of the journey - like a main character. It is the person you assign the journey to.

A dynamic recipient is more like the assignee’s side character. Currently, we support two types: Managers and Buddies.

We take the relation of who is someone’s manager or buddy from the HR system you integrate or the people you specify on the people page.

A specific recipient is, similar to the dynamic recipient, a side character. However, this one is not related to the assignee and will be the same for all your assignees.
